Once upon a time, a girl came across a huge and vast wall,

It blocked her path.

She looked right, she looked left,

She looked up, she looked down.

She could not find a way around it.

She started banging on it until her hands were scratched and red.

She hurled objects towards it to try and break it,

To no avail.

She tried to climb over it, falling several times.

She could not pass.

Watching her from the shadows, He appeared and stood next to her.

“What seems to be the matter Child?” He said.

“This wall is blocking my way!” She exclaimed.

“I’ve tried breaking it, going around it, climbing it; no matter what I do I can’t seem to get past it.”

He smiled, “Close your eyes Child.”

“What’s that going to accomplish exactly?” She asked.

“Indulge me.” He said, “Close your eyes.”

She sighed and closed her eyes.

“Now,” He said, “how would it feel being on the other side of this wall?”

“How would it feel?” She asked sounding exacerbated by the question.

“I know how it sounds Child, but just try, for a moment, if you will.” He said.

“Try and feel it within your heart, within your entire being,” He said, “how does it feel to be on the other side?”

She decided she had nothing to lose and focused her mind and heart on how it would feel.

“I suppose it would feel like relief, joy even.” She said.

“Good, now allow that feeling to over take your entire being.” He said.

She envisioned what it would be like on the other side of the wall; feeling the sun shining on her face, the soft gentle breeze, perhaps seeing people gathering together, children playing. She allowed her imagination to take over, filling her with a joy she hadn’t felt in a long time.

“Alright, so I’m doing it, now what?” She asked.

She opened her eyes and the wall was gone.

“Where’s the wall?” She asked.

She was alone once more; He had disappeared.

She turned to look behind and discovered a strange sight.

The wall was behind her.
